Southport Weekender music event

The Southport Weekender is now an annual event which takes place every May in the north east of England. The event caters for all musical tastes with a variety dj’s and live performance catering for all genres of music.
Venue and Location
The event takes place at the Pontins holiday park which is an ideal location for a contained indoor event with 3 main music rooms.
Costs
Southport weekender costs £159. This includes accommodation and access to all of the music events over the 3 days of partying.
Accommodation.
This consists of on-site chalets which accommodate a min of 4 – 7 persons. The chalets include basic amenities with a cooker and fridge to get you through the weekend.
Daytime
Its all about the Chalet parties. These are sound systems that play throughout the day, to ensure that nobody sleeps while they are at the weekender. If the weather is good this can be a highlight of the weekend with good vibes outdoor.
Nigh time
Entry is gained into all areas of the complex via an ID card lanyard and a wristband. Be sure that you don’t lose either, as you will not gain entry without these.
The venues start to get packed by around 23:30 with most of the parties’ going on till the early morning and around the clock in the house room, so be prepared!
Advice
– Be sure to bring your own supply of food to cook on-site yourself. There is a local supermarket nearby.
– Bring an item of bedding, as the sheets supplied are minimal
– Top up on electricity vouchers. £8 should be more than enough for the weekend.
– Ladies, high heels are a big mistake
